The Conspit 290GP Formula Wheel is a next-generation, high-performance Formula-style racing wheel, built for sim racers who want extreme control, comfort, and endurance.

The 290GP features a unique 3D ergonomic design that breaks away from the flat, two-dimensional layouts of many racing wheels. With structural innovations, it is shaped to support long sessions, improving comfort and control by aligning button placement, grip geometry, and switch access with natural hand and thumb positions.

Built using a moulded carbon fibre front panel and a high-strength aluminium alloy body, the wheel offers both lightness and rigidity. It tips the scales at approximately 1,350-1,400 grams (without optional quick release or adapter), delivering firm feedback when paired with a high-torque direct drive base.

Control layout is generous and highly modular:

  • 4.3-inch LCD dashboard, custom instrument panel with high resolution (≈ 800×480), bright display (500 nits), and smooth refresh (60 Hz) for real-time telemetry.

  • 12 RGB modular ErgoTouch buttons for configurable inputs, backed by durable aluminium bezels and silicone damping for tactile, consistent feedback.

  • Dual-clutch paddles, plus a rocker-style paddle shifter (MagFlip) mechanism for up/down shifting, both push/pull roles.

  • Four thumb wheels and three 12-position rotary switches for fine tuning, menu navigation, or setting parameters on the fly.

  • Two seven-way joysticks for additional control inputs.

Grip comfort is addressed via Enduro grips made of specially modified TPU through a dual-injection molding process, offering enhanced wear resistance, reduced color fading, and anti-aging performance. The grip shape supports both two-finger and three-finger lower-grip styles, ergonomically tuned to conform to angles, diameters, and force distribution present in real Formula and modern GT race cars.

Mounting and connectivity: The wheel includes a 50/70mm quick-release adapter (for standard 70mm PCD systems), a robust coiled USB cable for direct PC connection, and full compatibility with the Conspit software ecosystem (Link 2.0) for customization of LED mapping, dashboard layouts, RGB button behavior, and paddle settings.

If you want a wheel that merges advanced ergonomics, rich controls, and durability for endurance racing or high-performance sim setups, the Conspit 290GP delivers.

    Great wheel but rattling buttons

This wheel is so good a unique. Only let down by buttons that rattle in high force feedback situations like rumble strips. I’m surprised no reviewers mentioned this on YouTube. It’s annoying enough that I was gonna send mine back assuming that it was faulty or missing button movement dampers. However, the wheel is very easy easy to open the front plate, so I attempted a fix and was able to 100% resolve the issue by opening the front plate and carefully adding thin cuts strips of adhesive dense foam (like the non-slip foam for chairs and furniture) around each of the plastic led buttons. Now the wheel is totally silent in all situations. Still not sure if mine was a one-off issue. I would still recommend this wheel for its uniqueness, value and quality besides the rattling.
